Last winter, Mike Handford, Tim Herbert, and a crew of Niseko locals set out with the aim to spend a month climbing the lesser known volcanoes of Japan's north island of Hokkaido. 28 feet of snow dropped during that time, sending the crew on a slightly different journey - a waist deep one!
