This March the best Big Air snowboarders will gather again at Absolut Park Flachauwinkl. At  Spring Battle 2014 on 13 th and 14 th of March it’s not only about a split of the 50.000 US-Dollar prize money and valuable World Snowboard Tour points, but especially about a lot of fun and top-class freestyle snowboarding.

With Absolut Park team riders Seppe Smits, who was able to win the Spring Battle three times in a row, Antoine Truchon and Mathias Weißenbacher, an international group of top-riders announced their presence at this 5 Star World Snowboard Tour contest. Paired with a unique set-up on the Shuttleberg and the legendary after party, this event is for sure going to be amazing.

For the first time there will be an open qualification this year, 50 riders of the World Snowboard Tour ranking will have the chance to get one of the ten spots of the semifinals. There they will face the invited riders to move up into the finals of the best eight. Like in the past, this will be judged live at the after party with the Live-Video-Judging. Therefore the best run of each rider will be prepared as a short video-edit and presented in front of the judges as well as the party crowd at the after party at Festsaal Flachau.

Besides the contest action and fun runs in the park, the after party Friday night will be one of the highlights of the week. With Mr. Dero & Klumzy Tung spinning the DJ decks the crowd will party till late at night, everyone who can’t make it to Flachauwinkl still has the chance to follow the action of the judging and the final decision by tuning in on the Live-Web-Stream. Spring Battle is the biggest and last Big-Air-Contest of the current season, the World Snowboard Tour points are already counting for next winters ranking.
