Mt. Tanigawa Tenjindaira
Mervin Manufacturing announces the return of one of the most anticipated snowboard events in the world: Lib Tech's Holy Bowly - Fueled by Monster Energy will be happening at Mt. Tanigawa Tenjindaira Snow Resort on Saturday, April 13!
Last year's inaugural event got people talking throughout the shred universe. A simple gathering of cultures and styles brought backcountry soul surfers, pipe jocks, urban jibbers, contest riders and everything in-between together with a common goal of riding the hand shaped transitions of a giant snow bowl and reveling in the stoke that is snowboarding. Last year's event was showcased in three editorial features from snowboard magazines on three different continents and was heavily featured in both online edits and snowboard films.
"Last year scratched the surface," said event creator, Krush Kulesza. "Everyone was so stoked and appreciative that it wasn't even an option of if we would do it again...I can't wait to get digging!"
A heavy cast of North American riders including Jamie Lynn, Forest Bailey, Scotty Wittlake, Chris Beresford, Scott Blum, Austin Hironaka and Jesse Burtner will strap in next to an equally impressive crew of Japanese riders including Kohei Kudo, Masashi 247 Nishina, Shuji Kjiura, Takaharu Nakai, Ruiki Masuda, Yosuke Nishida and Goro Komatsu. The public is welcomed and encouraged to come meet and ride with the pros and share this simply amazing setting in Tenjin.
An after-party will follow the event and feature an amazing live set from snowboarding legend, amazing musician and Lib Tech ripper, Wes Makepeace.
This event would not be possible without the amazing support of the bitchin' board builders at Lib Technologies, Monster Energy, Tenjin Snow Resort, Poler Stuff, Planet Tools, Replant Snowboards, TJ Brand, Advance Marketing, High Q, Kenji Kato, Pat Bridges and the art of Jamie Lynn.
