Coaching, contests, photo sessions, and loads of action on Germany’s highest mountain: during Easter time, SPRING IN THE PARK will once again rock the Terrain Park Zugspitze at Garmisch- Partenkirchen, Germany. From March 31 to April 15, 2012, the legendary freestyle camp has a lot to offer for all snowboarders!
SPRING IN THE PARK 2012 provides freestylers on snowboards with everything they need to experience some perfect Easter days: free coaching, rookie contest, photo sessions, Chill Area, and a test booth where the participants can test the most up-to-date hardware by K2 Skis and K2 Snowboarding.
Coaching
At the coaching sessions, international freeski and snowboard pros will show the participants how to execute their spins and slides perfectly. The riders of the K2 team who made a splash this winter with the “School of Rockers“ K2 video will work with the freeskiers. Head shaper Karl Killer and his crew will again supply flawless obstacles at the Terrain Park Zugspitze. In their shaper’s blog on www.terrain-park-zugspitze.de, the crew will provide daily information on the conditions and latest activities at the park. The camp will be open daily between 10 am and 3 pm. The coaching sessions will start daily at 10 am and 1 pm. 
Free equipment test and photo download
During the two weeks of SPRING IN THE PARK 2012, top snowboarding and skiing equipment is available for free testing. At the K2 booth, riders will already find the latest gear of the 2012/2013 season.
The popular photo sessions will also take place again: during both camp weeks, a professional photographer will take photos of the participants. At home, they can download the best pictures of their tricks on rails and kickers from the website www.zugspitze.de.
The key meeting point of the SPRING IN THE PARK camp is the Chill Area with deck chairs, sound system, BBQ, and beverage sales. The Chill Area is open daily, and the grill will always be fired up when the weather is fine. 
Rookie Contest – now open to all riders!
The highlight of SPRING IN THE PARK 2012 is the Rookie Contest. For the first time, this slopestyle contest on Easter Monday, April 9, 2012, is open to amateur and pro riders alike. K2 sponsoring packages, plenty of non-cash prizes, and lift tickets for Zugspitze are up for grabs. There will be separate rankings for pros and for rookies who are not yet sponsored.
Cooperation with go-shred.com
As in the previous year, all riders who travel to SPRING IN THE PARK in an eco-friendly way will be rewarded: all participants who verifiably travel to the event with a go-shred.com lift will obtain reduced 1-day lift tickets, available from the go-shred tent at Eibsee station from 8.00 to 10.30 am. In addition, there will be spontaneous games of go-shred with the go- shred team at the Terrain Park Zugspitze. 
Facebook Competition
“Create, shape & shred“, that’s the slogan of the new SPRING IN THE PARK Facebook Competition. The winner will be invited to SPRING IN THE PARK 2012 for two days, and the shaper crew will put up his
personal obstacle at the Terrain Park. First, you have to create an inventive obstacle at home and upload the sketch to facebook.com/zugspitze.de. Then you have to collect “likes”. Finally, the shapers will build the draft with the most “likes” at the Terrain Park. The winner will be able to shred his own obstacle and will also win a 2-day lift ticket for Zugspitze with accommodation, meeting with the park crew, photo session and catering at the Chill Area.
