Glacier season continued last weekend with the 32nd Kaunertal Opening. We had nothing but blue skies and sunshine for three days and the energy on the mountain was genuinely good. The half-mile jib line was running in full effect and we took a few filming laps with some loose kids, watched a pro contest on some fun sized jumps that you couldn’t double on, enjoyed a rail jam set to a live heavy metal band and generally had a class time snowboarding.

After riding and descending into the valley, Kaunertal had closed off the street for us in Feichten and set up a bunch of stuff to skate (which we did non-stop, hence the complete lack of footage) as well as a stage where we were graced with the tunes of the delightful band Easy Giant.
