Burton CK Nug Snowboard

Think deeply now: What have you done for snowboarding over the course of the last 40 years? The occasional cry-wanks in the shower don't count. Neither does that one time you left a supposively snappy comment on Facebook about the state of snowboarding in full caps-lock. So the honest answer probably would be somewhere in between little to zero.

Burton, on the other hand, laid the groundwork for this industry whose titties you're sucking on, developed the modern snowboard, and helped build this subculture generations of snowboarders call home.

Celebrating the past, present, and future, Burton remade a classic Craig Kelly Air-shape for their 40th anniversary of making rad product. Well, actually don't call it a remake, it's more of a reinvention with the sophisticated means the 21st century has to offer. We all look back to the golden days of snowboarding teary-eyed, but let's be honest: back then snowboards were built massive as hell. Having a lightweight, supper-snappy board is just one of the perks of a modern day reissue.

Craig Kelly blazed his own path, defining “rider-driven” product development along the way. The NEW CK Nug keeps that spirit going with a shape inspired by one of the most recognizable boards ever made – The Craig Kelly Air. However, this re-creation picks up where the original left off, fusing short board maneuverability with camber for a hyper playful board that, like Craig’s riding, will reshape how you interpret the entire mountain.

This board is a wrecking ball.
