Bataleon - 3BT

Rather than selecting one particular product this week, we decided to feature Bataleon's patented Triple Base Technology™ (3BT™). While most of us don't give a shit about technology, and just want a board to rip, this shaping process that is systematically forged on all Bataleon boards might make your next trip to the mountain more fun. Consumed by a drive to perfect 3BT, Bataleon have dedicated the last decade to 3D shaping.

All Bataleon boards are shaped with tip-to-tail positive camber and lifted contact points beginning at the widest parts of the board. No creature is created alike in their form and demeanor, which Bataleon takes to heart, as they offer 3BT™ for jib, park, pow, and all mountain freestyle.  Perhaps it’s easier to understand the concept in person or hear from a legend himself, DBK says,"What I like about POWDER 3BT™ is the extra float it provides while riding deep snow. Off piste, the spoon-like nose feels very smooth and fluid, then when you're on slope going edge to edge, 3BT™ makes changing and initiating turns effortless”.

Although Bataleon is proud to call 3BT™ its own, they support other brands getting in the 3D game, as they see it is the universal solution to all of our problems; “We believe 3BT™ is the best way to make a snowboard. We committed to 3D base designs 15 years ago and have never made a flat board. We didn’t waste our time and energy on the rocker/reverse/multiple camber trends. Instead, we worked on perfecting 3D board designs, and are now the most knowledgeable in the industry when it comes to this shaping method. We embrace other brands incorporating 3D shaping into their lines, because ultimately the end consumer is the winner, and will have better snowboards in the future”.

"We are by far the most committed and experienced company working with 3D board shapes. We have perfected our 3BT™ designs for all types of riders and terrain. No other brand can make this claim and we feel confident that even more consumers will find us in the near future".
