Never Summer Insta/Gator

We all want to live in an endless winter, filled with bluebird pow days that go on forever. But the reality is often quite different. That's why, when you do get those kinds of days, you want to make the most of it and ride a board that will help you rip.

Jacob Carey gets to grips with that beefy nose with a serious butter.

The Never Summer Insta/Gator is a perfect example of that. Sitting within the new breed of stubby wide boards that are fun as hell to ride, the Insta/Gator can be ridden up to 10cm shorter than your normal board, thanks to the additional surface area provided by the extra width.

This board is fun and snappy and has a feisty carve to it. Because of the shorter length, you'll be able to snap in and out of turns, spin like a machine and rail like a train. It's truly nimble but maintains the stability that you'd get riding a bigger board.

Part of Never Summer's Shaper Series, the Insta/Gator is the brainchild of Tim Canaday. Here to recapture the feeling that made us all snowboarders, the Shaper Series is all about beautifying the turn and creating a fluid style all your own. The Shaper Series embraces every aspect of snowboarding: groomer, park, trees, speed, big carves and huge lines…regardless of snow conditions. This board is an all-mountain destroyer.

The Insta/Gator will perform anywhere in any condition. It's all about quick turn initiation, tons of pop, trench digging edge hold, and magical flex. The tech holds up to closer inspection too. The profile is a Fusion Rocker Camber. Rocker between the bindings and camber outside. A real nice mix of pop and float. It's heavily directional, perfect for carves and powder turns, and the hammerhead nose will punch through whatever lies in front of you. The Vario Power Grip Sidecut, Early Rise Nose, Sintered P-tex Sidewall and Durasurf Sintered 5501 Base wrap this package up with serious credentials.

The RDS 2 dampening system is a lightweight, using three narrower laminated damping layers that provide the perfect combination of vibration, absorption, and stability. RDS 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness. You'll get an even smoother ride thanks to the Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers directly below the mounting area provide optimum vibration absorption and increase high-speed stability while reducing foot fatigue.

You'd better get a Gator sooner rather than later.
