POSTPONED TO FEB 13 - Follow The Pipe 2010

The snow conditions are fantastic, the snow parks are in a first class state – and the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park celebrates the new half-pipe with a novel event: At Follow The Pipe 2010 on February 6th 2010, the participants will film one another with a helmet camera while doing their pipe runs. The friends of the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park page on facebook will decide about the winner and the best produced movie!

The snow parks and the half-pipe of the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park are showing up with a perfect set-up at the moment. Due to the wonderful snow conditions and the many different obstacles, the Central Park and the Easy Park are offering loads of possibilities. The Central Park on the lower part of the Sonnenkarbahn is the playground for advanced and pro riders and is coming up with many specials. The Easy Park with its smaller kickers, boxes and rails is not only fun for beginners and intermediate riders – it is the appropriate playground for all jibbers, especially because it is easy to combine with the Central Park in one run. The Railgarden Lechnerberg in the middle of Kaprun is open from early February for additional sundowner sessions.

Also the fine shaped half-pipe at the Kitzsteinhorn lets dreams come true for freestylers. With its 5.5-metre high and 130-metre long walls, it will be the stage of Follow The Pipe 2010 on February 6th 2010. There, the Nitro snowboard pro and multiple world cup winner Xaver Hoffmann (GER) will show what is possible in the half pipe. In addition, the locals are invited to demonstrate their skills in the Kitzsteinhorn pipe. The main attraction: the participants will do their runs equipped with top-quality helmet cameras provided by Camterminal.com. Each of the two-man teams will be allowed to use the cams for two hours. Then the riders will follow their partners’ runs in the pipe and film each other. After returning the camera, they will get a DVD with their clips. The clips will also be uploaded to the facebook page of the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park, where the friends of the park will select the winner: the video with the most “I likes” will win! The prizes are a helmet camera, Nitro headphones, Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park shirts and other non-cash prizes.

By the way, the Kitzsteinhorn Mellow Park will be present at the ispo 2010 in Munich for the first time this year: within the scope of the European Park Conference & Exhibition the stand can be found in hall A1, 128 G.
