QUIKSILVER NEW STAR 2012 BY NOKIA LUMIA

On the 10th of March 2012 at the “Igora” resort Nokia Lumia will present the most expected snow event of the year, the largest snowboard contest in Eastern Europe - Quiksilver New Star. Top riders, breathtaking snowmobile show and Trouble Andrew LIVE in concert.
EVENT STATUS
This year the contest received 4 stars in the series of World Tour Ticket To Ride, which is a sign of quality and high status, that provides arrival of the most relevant and respected riders. Ticket To Ride contest takes place in such countries as the United States of America, Austria, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, China, Italy and Russia, 4 stars are given to such events as Red Bull Nanshan Open, Ride Shakedown, Absolut Park Spring Battle, Protest World Rookie Finals, Quiksilver Showdown Over the City.
Especially for Quiksilver New Star 2012 by Nokia Lumia the «Igora» resort allocated one of the central slopes, on which the best shape-builders, under supervision of Roland Hofer from Salzburg, will set up a creative and challenging slopestyle-trace with a maximal field of view.
RIDERS
In Quiksilver New Star 2012 international team of riders will take part: Zebastian Landmark, Felix Mobarg and Philip Landmark from Sweden, Teo Konttinen, Nutti Niemela and Otto Veijola from Finland, Alessandro Boyens from Switszerland, Trym Nordgaard from Norway and Markus Pölzl from Austria. Russia will be represented by Andrei Moskvin, Yuri Gavrilov, Sergey, Dmitry Koltsov, Mikhail Ilyin, Anton Lavrentiev, Nikolay Bilanin, Alexey Sobolev, Evgeny Ivanov, Dmitry Mindrul, Pavel Kharitonov and Dmitry Repnikov. Prize of the event is 15 000$!
ACTION
Last year a unique Red Bull Snowmobile Show left audience speachless during the execution of the most dangerous stunts, including a backflip with more than 200 kilo machine in the air! This year's drive will be even greater, and the support of thousands of people even more powerful. The headliner of the show will become the owner of Winter X-Games medals, Nuclear Cowboys team member - Caleb Moore (US) aka Hearthbreaker.
It is the first time when within the bounds of Quiiksilver New Star 2012 a giant of national and world auto sport – legendary KAMAZ-Master team takes part! KAMAZ-Master team took World Cup off-road rally three times; is a multiple winner and seven-time winner of the super-marathon Dakar, marked by the highest category of complexity! Coming back from Peru after a hot Dakar Rally 2012 finish, the team will call on the snowy slopes of the “Igora” resort in order to demonstrate the power of combat vehicle. The most outstanding representative of KAMAZ school sportsmanship, Vladimir Chagin will demonstrate consummate technique of piloting. Spectators of Quicksilver New Star 2012 will see a real snowstorm from the “kings of the desert”!
MUSIC
And, of course, after large-scale Quiksilver New Star 2012 program the unforgettable live concert of the most relevant and beloved by all extreme fans band Trouble Andrew (Brooklyn, NY) will take place. Leader of the band, whose autonym is Trevor Andrew aka Billy Lotion aka Private Joints aka Trza aka trev dirt aka Mr Andrew, describes his style as crunk rock – new music style which was born under the influence of skate- and snowboard cultures. By the way, Trevor was the headliner of leading snowboard contests such as the X-Gamesand the Toyota Big Air in Japan a participant of the Olympic Winter Games in 1998 and 2022. In 2004 he received a serious knee injury, and then devoted himself to creativity, and in 12006 released his debut album. The single “Chase Money” became the official soundtrack to the cult game “SKATE” by Electronic Arts.
TRANSPORT
This year organizers together with the “Igora” resort will increase the number of the parking spaces more than twice specially for Quicksilver New Star. Guests can take advantage of the events’ special shuttle service – comfortable buses from the metro station “Parnas” and “Devyatkino”.
